Tsipras to Brief Opposition Leaders on Cyprus Talks on January 9

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet with opposition party leaders on January 9 (Monday), to discuss developments on the Cyprus issue, ahead of the meeting between Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci in Geneva on January 12, his office said on Monday.
The schedule is as follows:

  • 10 a.m. Kyriakos Mitsotakis (ND)
  • 12 p.m. Fofi Gennimata (Democratic Coalition)
  • 2 p.m. Dimitris Koutsoumbas (Communist Party)
  • 5 p.m. Stavros Theodorakis (Potami)
  • 7:30 p.m. Vasilis Leventis (Centrists’ Union)
  • 8:30 p.m. Panos Kammenos (ANEL)

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will visit New York on Friday where he will meet with the new secretary general of United Nations António Guterres.
