The City of Dreams Mediterranean, one of the largest casino resorts in Europe, will be built by J & P Avax, a company owned by the Greek consortium Terna. It was she who won the tender. At present, the contract is at the stage of signing – it remains for the parties to agree on the conditions.

The tender also involved the French company Bouygues Construction Group and its local partner Cybarco, as well as one of the largest construction companies in the Middle East Consolidated Contractors Company. Of the three applicants, the gaming and hotel business giant Melco Resorts & Entertainment and its local partner Cyprus Phassouri (Zakaki) Ltd. chose J & P Avax.

What is known about City of Dreams Mediterranean

After signing the contract, work at the facility will be started within two months. The site is located in the area Zakaki (western part of Limassol). Presumably, the resort-casino will be able to receive the first visitors already in 2021. According to preliminary estimates, € 550 million will be invested in the project.

The highlight of the resort will be a casino. It will contain 1,200 gaming machines and more than a hundred tables. Guests will be offered a five-star hotel stay. In addition to 500 rooms of different classes, detached villas will be built. The infrastructure of the resort is designed for trifles – all conditions for a comfortable rest will be created here so that guests do not need to leave the “City of Dreams”.

Shopping centers can be made in shopping centers, and business meetings can be held in conference rooms. In the amphitheater will be held concerts and performances. Provides a network of gastronomic institutions. Special pride will be sports facilities.

What is known about the contractor

J&P Avah is a division of the Cyprus International Construction Company Joannou & Paraskevaides (Overseas). In the near future, a meeting of shareholders is planned, at which the question of renaming the company to Avax will be raised. So it was called before J & P invested in its development.

The project of building a casino resort in Limassol was greeted favorably since it will be able to attract more tourists to the city.
