Cultural and entertainment center is one of the largest of its kind in the history of the country. Charitable foundation of Stavros Niarhos plans to begin this year the construction, which will be completed by 2015.

Complex with a total area of ​​85 thousand m2 is located in the area ELLINIKOU, Agios Dimitrios, Argyroupoli, Ilioupoli, Glyfada, Alimos, Paleo Faliro and Vouliagmeni. It will include two buildings- Greek National Opera and the National Library. They will be interconnected transparently by a "lobby, "a place of communication for visitors to these cultural institutes. Around there will be stretched the park of  Stavros Niarhos, it will take 85% of the area and will be one of the largest green areas created in Athens. Also, there will be city park for  sports and recreation.

Construction is entrusted to legendary architect Renzo Piano.70-year-old Renzo Piano- one of the most famous architects, creator of high-tech style.
