Work on the drilling of the base for the construction of the race track standard Formula 1 will begin by the end of the year, near the Greek city of Patra in the north of the Peloponnese. The total amount of the project is equivalent to 94.6 million euro. There is a company responsible directly of the construction of the complex. As said the president of the racetrack in Patra, Evangelos Floretos in an interview with 'Kathimerini' - the emergence of an investor from the Middle East, has accelerated the start of construction on a plot of 930 acres. Meanwhile, the company is in the final stages of negotiations with investors from other countries to cover the financing of the works necessary for the commencement of operation.
