The winter sale in Greece begins mid-January and end February 28. For 2015 the official start date is Monday, January 12.
During the sales season stores will open on Sunday the 18th of January, with the Athens Trade Association suggesting stores operate between 11am and 6pm.
By law an establishment must display two signs: One showing the original price and another showing the sale price. Sale prices are valid until closing.
