The Agency of Culture,Youth and Sports of the Municipality of Athens in collaboration with the Research Centre of Greek folklore of Athens Academy and the Lyceum of Greek Women is organizing the exhibition of carnival costumes from all over the island and mainland Greece at the Museum of Folk Arts and Traditions "Angelika Hadzhimihali" which will be held from the 1st to 23 rd February, 2015 year.

The exhibits will be placed in the exhibition space without any restrictions, so that the visitors will have an opportunity to review in detail the carnival outfits. Some of the traditional costumes from the private collection of Konstantinos Apostolos Takis and the Lyceum of Greek Women are an important part of Greek folklore and customs of carnival celebrations till present in all of Greece. As a part of exhibition there will be presented educative materials, illustrated with photos.
