Acropolis Museum celebrates Independence Day

On the 25 th of March Acropolis Museum will be open from 9.00 am to 17.00 pm, celebrating the Independence Day of the country. On this occasion the entrance will be free. There will be two amazing programs for children and adults.
 
Museum staff will present exhibits in the first program for adults called "Acropolis Museum Exhibits are talking about historical memory of Antiquities", which will demonstrate the philosophical  approach to its ancient past and the most important moments in the history and mythology. The beginning of the program is scheduled for 10.00 am, 13.00 and 14.30 (in Greek), and at 10.30  (in English and French). The number of participants in each presentation: 35 persons. Duration: about 50 minutes. Prioritization order will be strictly observed.
 
Program for children and their parents: "The Athenians remember their history" is organized in such a way where the children will participate (with the help of archaeologists) in search of artifacts related to the history and legends of Athens. The program for children 4-7 years old will start from 12.00, for children 8-12 years old at 13:30 and 15.00. The number of participants in each group: 20. Duration: about 50 minutes. Prioritization order will be strictly observed.
 
The same day, the restaurant on the second floor of the Museum will offer visitors a rich menu of traditional Greek dishes.
