The Greek museums have started to operate under the new schedule

All the museums and archaeological sites in Greece start to operate under the new schedule from  April 1, 2015. The country's museums will be open 12 hours a day - from 8:00 to 20:00 7 days a week and archaeological sites, tourists will be able to visit from 8.00 to 19.00 till October 31.

According to statistics, the flow of tourists to Greece in 2014, has grown considerably. During the year the country was visited by about 20 million tourists from all over the world to get acquainted with its monuments and sights, a rich exposition of ancient artifacts on display in many museums. In the new season, is expected to increase the flow of tourists. To enable more visitors to get acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of Greece, the Greek Ministry of Culture for the second season extends the work of museums and archaeological sites in the country during the summer.

In order to improve the quality of services in more than 100 museums and archaeological sites in the country operates a free internet connection Wi-Fi. Greatly simplify the work of these institutions electronic tickets. Renovation of souvenir shops and stalls, a wide variety and high quality of their product range will also contribute to a pleasant experience of visiting Greece .
