Cretan Islands entered the top ten destinations of the year 2016

The top ten unknown places in Europe for the year 2016 consisted of Koufonisia and Paleochora (in an article published by the British The Telegraph).

These two magnificent Greek destinations took 4-th and 5-th place, respectively, among other areas of France, Italy, Croatia and Spain. Information sites provide privacy, tranquility and simplicity and is suitable for those who shun crowds and the bustling nightlife, but dreams of enjoying local culture and everyday life.

Koufonisia is a place to enjoy sandy beaches, the Sun and the sea, reminiscent of the old, forgotten Greece 60-ies.

Paleochora is a Seaside village of Paleochora, overlooking the Libyan Sea, says the publication, "is located 77 km South from the city of Chania and is particularly popular among the Greeks choosing authentic direction. There are many secluded places for swimming, among which stand out the Pebble Beach Gialiskari, which in 70-ies of the preferred hippies and Grammeno beach sand. From Paleochora you can sail across the sea to Elafonisi, or on the beaches of Agia roumeli and Sougia.
