Yesterday the Eurobank Tourism Conference, «Greek Tourism: Challenges and Prospects» concluded. Mr. Andreas Andreadis, president of the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE), had encouraging news. He informed the conference that final projections for the next 5 years looks to see an increase of foreign visitors to Greece of about 30%, from 26 to 35 million. This, said Mr. Andreadis, should increase tourism revenues by 40%, with a targeted goal of 20 billion euros.
There has been a last-minute surge in bookings for 2016. In addition, bookings from January-April were up 7.6%, Mr. Andreadis said. He said that he was «cautiously optimistic» about tourism revenues for 2016.
