On June 8th the largest sailboat in the world dropped anchor at Skiathos, Sporades Islands. Christened in 2000 in Poland, the Royal Clipper has 5 masts, 42 sails, and a crew of 100. It serves as a Mediterranean cruise ship, accommodating up to 220 passengers.
The Royal Clipper was the focus of a great deal of attention in Skiathos by residents and tourists alike, and for a day it was the most photographed object on the island. A return trip to Skiathos for the Royal Clipper is planned for June 21.
