Greece received two binding bids for the sale of a 24 percent stake in power grid operator ADMIEon Friday, the final day for the submission of a bid, an energy ministry source said.
The two companies are Italian power grid TERNA and China’s State Grid International Development.
The same sources expressed their satisfaction for the development and the fact that the tender is proceeding according to the agreement made with the institutions, which foresees that the state will ultimately hold directly or indirectly 51 percent of ADMIE. The bids will be opened in the next few days.
A meeting planned for tonight between Energy Minister Panos Skourletis and the institutions was postponed for next week.
