"Green Light" for six new skyscrapers in Athens

Six new high-rise buildings of 200 meters are planned, among other things, to be constructed, as part of the investment in the former airport in Elliniko, according to "Naftemporiki".

The new "towers" of Athens, as well as different types of homes, have an initial budget of € 6.7 billion, according to the Integrated Development Plan (SEA), that is part of the Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA) that was put to public consultation.

The creators of the plan say that the goal is to upgrade the quality of life of the urban complex by developing extensive green areas that are ideal for recreation within a new and attractive cosmopolitan center with residential, commercial and leisure uses to attract residents, businessmen and Greeks and foreign visitors.

The design for the six high-rise buildings includes a multi purpose metropolitan park area, a marina residential tower, an office tower, a hotel tower, an integrated resort tower and a promenade residential tower.
