Greece to Return to Standard Time on Sunday, Perhaps for Final Time

Clocks in Greece will go back an hour on Sunday at 4 am, marking the start of standard time and signifying what might be the last time the time adjustment is implemented.

The European Union announced in September that it will scrap the obligatory time change practice from October 2019 and on, allowing member states to decide by April whether they will remain permanently in standard time or daylight savings time.

This measure follows an EU survey which showed that eight out of ten Europeans oppose the twice-yearly clock changes.
