Piraeus Becomes a New Magnet for Greece's "Golden Visa" Applicants

This is due to the fact that the minimum threshold of €250,000 for property acquisition has been maintained here.

What happened? Foreign investors interested in obtaining residency through Greece's "Golden Visa" program continue to firmly adhere to the requirement of purchasing property worth at least €250,000.

What does this mean? In this context, as real estate market leaders emphasize, demand has now shifted to the Attica region, where the €250,000 threshold remains in place, while locations where requirements have doubled to €500,000 are largely avoided.

According to Alexandros Risvas, the head of the law firm Risvas & Associates, most investors are currently searching for property in Piraeus and its surroundings, where the changes affecting Athens and its suburbs have not applied.
