Greek Association of Realtors conducted a research on the profile of the real estate market's buyer of this year. Based on an analysis of sales for the first 5 months of 2014, it formed the portrait of a buyer. Two-thirds of people buying property - are those who are married and aged from 30 to 55, having a higher education. 28% of buyer's are foreigners.

One of the five transactions having to do with real estate is concerned to be cottages, while in the south of the Aegean region, almost all buyers are Europeans.

Statistics on transactions are the followings: 77% of sales - secondary market housing, newly constructed buildings the same, amounting to 23% of transactions, average prices are from 150.000 to170.000 euros, which is 35% below the cost of similar housing in 2009.
