Early parliamentary elections in Greece are completed

Early parliamentary elections were held in Greece on Sunday. Coalition of the Radical Left Alliance (SYRIZA) gains a victory after vote counting more than 90% of electorate. SYRIZA gained 36.32% of the votes and received 149 of the 300 seats, the other party "Independent Greeks" (Anel)  which is ready to form a coalition with them gets  4.7% of the vote and 13 seats. Therefore the two parties will be able to form a majority government.

According to preliminary data, seven parties are expected to pass into Parliament. The "New Democracy" party of current Prime Minister Antonis Samaras gained 27.86% and got 76 parliamentary seats. Third position was taken by the far-right "Golden Dawn" - 6.3% of the vote and 17 seats, followed by the party of "The River" with 5.9% of votes (17), the Communist Party of Greece  gained  5.4% (15) and PASOK - 4 75% (13). The leader of the center-right party "New Democracy" acting Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has congratulated Tsipras on victory.

The Leader of SYRIZA said the party will fulfill all his campaign promises, abandon austerity measures and decide with its partners, the debt problem. "The Greek people gave a clear mandate. Greece has left behind austerity, fear,  five years of deprivation. We go forward with hope, stability," - mentioned Tsipras on a public rally in central Athens, attended by thousands of people. One of a posters had  phrase: "It happened for real!

 Greece's largest precedent that people chose a new party. Greece chose the opposition. Historically, the power for many years had been moving from “New Democracy” to “Pasok”. There is a great hope that this victory is not a game with the people but is the genuine choice of the Greeks.
